It's the same video looped 3 or 4 times. That doesn't make it OK, but it's not a 4 minute sustained attack |

Awful. I can't believe the teacher kicked this student when he went down. |

Why drag up an old video like this? I believe laws have been enacted since then that prohibit this kind of thing. I wouldnt be surprised to see it happen again, but truth is, as a parent, I am concerned teachers wont have enough power to stop bad students anymore. Just look at kids in the UK and US as an example. I really dont want my kids growing up in an atmosphere if no discipline. |

It is bad but I have seen a much, much worse incident than this in Korea. Something that I simply don't know how it could be justified.
The problem is we don't know what this student has done. We simply don't know the story. |

cp for elementary should be severely restricted. However, for middle and high school it should be open season, especially high school. |

"open season" Classic.
I guess you're not too fond of some older students then. |

I'm not condoning anything but by the time they hit high school it's a little too late, you're pretty much hitting on grown folks, and I wouldn't blame them if they retaliated. Kids need to be disciplined and punished at an early age by their parents and sometimes their teachers. |

I'd say Korean school boards need to consider designating a trained cp teacher to administer cp. Done in a public place to ensure it doesn't cross the line.
cp is done virtually everyday in Korea in many schools, it's the ones that get filmed and go way overboard that you hear on the news. |

They already do this the person is known as a "Haksan Bujangnim" in Korean. They are usually an older athletic type usually a physical education teacher. Physical punishment is used when the threat of sending a student to the head disciplinary teacher no longer works. |
