...can't say I recall seeing Obama doing this. I would love a link to prove me wrong though.

This is one reason why the military respects former President Bush.

Well, Bush is personally responsible for many of these wounded soldiers' conditions. I guess that's why the majority of Americans aren't impressed. Iraq turned out to be a war of choice, despite false Bush administration urgings of imminent danger.

30,490 U.S. service members have been wounded due to combat actions in Iraq.

Ah.............the majority of Americans aren't impressed. OK...since it is about that (in your eyes), please offer up some evidence for me to take a look at.

Yep, a great number of service members have been wounded. That is war....oh, while we are on the subject, please refer back to the world consensus (major players in the world) regarding the danger in Iraq....even pre-2003.

Now, do you have a link showing obama giving up his free time to spend it with those who did their job..and by being there, it shows his humility and respect for those who served? That's all I"m asking for...just a link or two.

I'm not going to argue what everyone here knows: the Iraq war was launched on false premises. It was then poorly managed.

But what do people think of George W. Bush now?

Quote:

According to a Gallup poll released [in December 2010], the most recent ex-president has an approval rating of 47%, considerably higher than when he left office. In his first outing in the poll's ranking of former chief executives, Bush is still near the bottom, handily defeating perennial basement dweller Richard M. Nixon, forced to quit office in disgrace. But when compared with approval polls while he was in office, he's rising with a bullet.

Bush, whose memoirs were published recently, still is in negative territory. About 51% said they disapproved of [George W. Bush] as president, again joining Nixon as the only two former leaders to be more disliked than liked.

C'mon guys....just provide a link or two........stick with the subject at hand. I know it is hard at times....but c'mon.........show me something.

OH....The intelligence communities of every major country were confident that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction before 2003. These include the United States, Canada, France, the United Nations, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan, even Iran and a slew of others. It was a working assumption that such WMD was in Iraq, so much that I never heard accusations that it wasnt true until the political war heated up in March, 2003.

But lets sit on that.......just show me a link or two.
