|
|
I'm Korean-American and I plan to take the GRE in August or September. I was wondering if there were any GRE hagwons catered to foreigners that were taught in English. Hoping to go either Saturdays or Sundays. Although I can speak and write in Korean, I prefer instruction in English. Thanks |

Why not just skip the GRE altogether and go to grad school here? |

For the GRE get one of the Kaplan GRE study guides with the interactive CD's. They cost less than $50 and will help you prepare for the test. |

I second just purchasing some books (Kaplan, Baron, Princeton, etc) as the GRE format is going through some changes this fall. |

I absolutely agree with others. A friend of mine spent $1100 on a class and I bought a $35 book. I got more than 100 points higher than he did. Just read the book and do the practice tests. If you need help with vocab, go over that too but the biggest thing is just practice. |

The changes to the GRE put less focus on vocabulary. So it's even more practice and knowing how to do things fast. |

Considering that most of the teachers of the GRE (esp. verbal section) are relatively fluent in English (and often in Korean as well), you can pretty much go to any GRE institute for help. There's a Kaplan institute in Gangnam that also offers class where some of my Korean-American students and friends have attended.
To be honest, for the test, most institutes won't give a hoot that you're a foreigner. And for the math and English class, most offer both taught fully in English. Just go in and sign up. They'll do what they can to accommodate your particular problems. |

How do I go about doing that? I didn't see any way to do it under the profile section. |
