The worst is the seat bouncer. Seat in recline, constantly leaning forward and slamming back against the chair.

Say to the stewardess "do you have a boyfriend?", like they do to the Starbuck's workers in Thailand. Laughing

Really? Every flight I've been on the stewards etc. make you put your seat upright during take off and landing. It's standard procedure. Come on now. Razz

I'd say that if I choose to recline my seat, then I'm within my rights, and I don't bitch much about folks reclining theirs. Seats usually stop at a degree which still allows me to function.

Being a tall man, I still want a seat in an exit row, though.

Very topical

Look, I'm sorry, but you're in the minority. The vast majority of people recline without turning around to ask the guy behind them if it's OK. In your case, I guess you would always say, "no." Why should I not have the ability to recline just because I'm unlucky enough to sit in front of you? Ridiculous. Maybe the check in counter should worry themselves with making sure the tall sit together. They have nothing better to do than ass-kiss economy passengers after all.

Yes. Typical economy seats offer little personal space. The seat in front of you tilted back effectively cuts that in half.

I'm as calm as anybody but on one long flight that seat was fully reclined in my face while the boy sat up playing video games. I asked his mother nicely if they'd mind putting it up. She went ballistic & swore at me! Said if I didnt like it I should fly business class.

Out of consideration for those behind me, I keep my seat upright. If I really wanted to put it back, I'd check with the person behind me first. Am I weird for thinking of others?

Re: pushing the button to summon a flight attendant. Dont do it. They hate it. If they've got a bit of a break let them relax. They'll be back down the aisle soon enough & then a polite "excuse me" will get you what you want.

On long haul flights it's nice when the passenger next to you is a slim Asian female. Odds are better than good she will only pick at her food.

After suitable pause you ask for her yoghurt, then the rest etc. until you've polished the works off.

Next meal will find her already trained, she knows just to hand over without ado.

On the other hand, I always feel dismay when clambering aboard the plane, negotiating the aisle and seeing fat caucasian giants seated, spilling out of their seats. I always get an eerie feeling of doom.

The worst is when your adjoining seat is vacant and at the last mo a lumbering fat colossus arrives. I just sit there with folded arms, my face like thunder.

I don't think I have ever finished an in-flight meal. They all have the same bland processed taste, so I just pick at it and load up on beer!

I get the munchies when I travel.

Though I'm no gourmand, I quite like the food. Looking at the food objectively, airlines serve the fare of their respective nationality, making me nostalgic.

As I say in my post, the passenger beside you should be 'trained' from the first. Often others situated further see what's up and start shovelling theirs at you as well.

You can then afford to be fussy.

I give the avoidance of alcohol my best shot. One can get so dehydrated with the prohibition on taking anything liquid on board with you.

There's no such thing as selfless. Read some Ayn Rand, you unemployable losers! Laughing

I'm joking, in case it isn't clear.
