I got a list of 3 companies from the Seoul help line, but so far they say that NO Korean companies ship to Halifax, N.S. They say the price to Vancouver is about 3.6 million and to Halifax it would be double! So over 6 million, are you kidding me? Halifax is an international port so I don't see how they say they don't ship there. They say they can ship it to Toronto and then send it down by rail. Are you kidding me? Anyway I just wondered if someone knew of any other shipping companies or BROKERS that they could pass on to me. I remember some colleagues about 5 years ago who had bought some antique furniture in Itaewon were put in touch with a shipping broker. Basically a broker was one that had rented the whole container and then was re-selling sections of it out to people. They rented space and got their furniture sent to Halifax for 1.3 million. It was all above board too as it was delivered to their door and customs even came to their house to inspect and check what they had gotten. Anyway after 14 years here we have quite a bit of stuff, so I was just wondering if anyone could put me in contact with a company they had used.

Edit - Try contacting freight forwarders at the Port of Halifax, they might have some information on the companies that ship there.

Thanks folks. Got one quote today for 3.7 which is definitely better than 6 million. They still insist on shipping to Toronto and trucking it down though as they say not as there is not much call for containers moving to Halifax.
