Been toying with the idea of buying one. I was wondering if anyone had one and how you liked it? |

Love, love, love my Kindle. Didn't have one last year and struggled finding good cheap books all year. The portability and ease of getting books is incredible.
I highly recommend anyone who enjoys reading to get a Kindle when living in Korea. |

Wait for a month or two, as Amazon is going to be releasing their tablet soon. When that happens, expect Kindle prices to drop a little.
I don't have one yet, but my co-workers who do love them and read a lot more than they used to. They're great for public domain books, pdfs, and basic web surfing. |

Bought one last month (with the case mentioned above) and I have yet to put it down. I finally have a choice on what books to read without having to order them or travel all over town to buy them. |

Amazon has just dropped the price to $164 for the worldwide 3G version, though you'll have to deal with "special offers" for your screensaver (a small price as I hardly ever look at my Kindle when I'm not reading it). |

Love it!!! LOOOOVE IT. Check out www.library.nu It sounds too good to be true, but I swear it isn't. Most books are in pdf but you just use calibre and convert to Mobi. Best purchase I ever made, and I have been saving a bundle! |

You can also torrent books. I downloaded about 6000 books through torrents and then waded through the ones I didn't want and still have 2500 books on my computer...of those i have about 100 on my kindle now...
That's my reading list for the next couple of years...and that doesn't include the new books that I can get.... |

Do it! I have the 2nd Generation Kindle and I take it everywhere and use it constantly. It saves space because I don't have to fill my apartment with books and the books are discounted when you buy them by Kindle too. :0) |

Buy a Kindle. Everyone that has one, loves it. You can torrent all your books, even reformat manga and comics to work on it. It also has a really, really primitive audio player and the battery lasts weeks. If you read even a little, it's worth it. |

My only complaint about mine is that I did not get it sooner. |

I love my kindle. I bought 2 for my parents for Christmas and was surprised with my own from them.
Like someone else pointed out, you can download/buy books from anywhere and just use Calibre to convert them to mobi. Gives you a lot more options.
This might be a stupid question, but I'm guessing it'll work just fine when I move to Korea right? |

I'd say buying a Kindle was the best choice I had made before coming to Korea. It makes the hours spent deskwarming and commuting seem a lot shorter. Also, it's gotten me through quite a few long winter evenings. Not to mention that it saves me a lot of time, money, and effort (going to WTB, ordering online and waiting for shipping, etc.)
My only regret is not getting the 3G version. I read a lot of non-fiction, so being able to look up background information on Wikipedia would have been a useful feature for me. Plus, it plays nicely with G-Mail. |

Get one!
I wasn't much of a reader before I got mine this past winter. Since then I've read thousands of pages.
For me it's actually better than reading a real book. And forget about trying to read a .pdf on a laptop or ipad. So much light, so much eye fatigue. With the kindle it's all grey and black, easy on the peepers, and I freaking love it.
I'm also told that one can download almost any book in .mobi format on torrent sites. |
