well I promised myself I'd hit Seoul tonight, but both of my potential wingmen cannot accompany me, so it'll be a bit weird walking around alone, not knowing anyone, etc.
Nonetheless, I feel like it's something I ought to do, and figured Itaewon would be the best choice for an initial exploration.
I'm not especially shy around people, no shrinking violet and don't worry about my "safety", that won't be an issue (even around gi's) I'm Much more of a club rather than a bar type.
Any suggestions above and beyond B1? (I'll probably pop into UN Club too, because interesting racial mixtures interest me (and I i like black women). I remember reading Spy Bar is interesting later in the night?
I'll do Hongdae and Gagnam on weekends to come, so perhaps it's best if we keep ideas and suggestions limited to Itaweon this time around.
thanks in advance. |

try Trans Rose.
you're welcome in advance.
I'm kidding, but, really. do a google search or just look around on your own. itaewon is not that big of a place. when you stop seeing bars, you have walked too far in any particular direction. try around the station, try around hooker hill (to the west of the station, just don't get suckered by a juicy bar), and try behind the hamilton hotel.
Itaewon is not a club destination. You named two of them. There're a couple newer ones behind the Hamilton whose names escape me, and there is always king's club up on hooker hill.
Helios, as well. |

it was an interesting night. I'm glad I made it out.
to my big big surprise, Itaewon was 95% Korean, at least at the venues I went to (ones listed above) and I saw very few people in their 20's I'd immediately ID as "english teacher". Maybe they were traveling around on the long weekend or hanging out in Hongdae. |
