I have a few (between 2-4 not sure) friends visiting in me in early August. Does anybody know any reasonably priced hotels that I could book? Ideally something close to North east Seoul (near Korea University) or near Itaewon. Would just walking around my area and checking out the motels be a reasonable idea?
If it is just one or two it's not a problem and they can crash at my place, but 4 people is too many |

If a hostel is somewhere that would be acceptable, check out isak (www.istaykorea.com). It's cheap, clean, they have hot water, and the staff are friendly. It's also 5 mins walk from Itaewon station. I stay there pretty much every time I go to Seoul. |

This place. Family stayed there, and loved the location (Myongdong). Also close to subway access, although they preferred taxis.
