For the return airfare, can I get it for a diff place than my original flight?

In more simple terms, Im arriving in Korea from the US and I want my return airfare ticket to South America when my contract is over.

Is this possible?

Depends on the school. Sometimes it is specified that you cannot do that in the contract. My guess is no, but if you were to ask for something like Taiwan they would agree to it. Ask them.

It's all about money. If you can show your director that it will cost him about the same or less to send you to south America, then he'll do it. If it cost more, maybe work something out where he covers a portion of it. Either way, he's not going to agree to it unless it is equitable for him to do so. Good luck!

Public schools tend to be a bit ridiculously strict about getting a flight home, whereas hagwons will generally do whatever so long as they break even.

Public schools don't care. They give you a stipend (I believe it's 1.3 million won currently) and you can do with it what you want.. Buy a flight to South America or swim.. It's all the same to them.

My ps wouldn't fly me to the USA since I'm from Canada. The contract says that the school will pay for a return ticket to your native country or will give you a 700000won stipend to travel elsewhere.
