is 600 for just one body part? (ie. knee, shoulder, or elbow) I wonder how much a full body MRI costs... |

Yeah, those hi-tech procedures are an absolute cash cow for the hospitals (granted it's expensive equipment to start with), prepare to pony up, or else find some traditional practioners with credibility. |

Try Hanyang University Hospital. I've had 2 there for stomach issues and they were both less than 300 000w. They have an international department which is really good. One staff member will take you round the hospital to wherever you need to go and translate the whole time for any dotors who don't speak English. |

I had a CT Scan and Ultrasound done for 200,000... MRI for 6...I don't know if that's reasonable or not, but it seems a little steep... |

I had a lot of X-rays and CT scans done at Eulji Hospital in No-won gu, totals were around 200-300 for a few procedures.
Having said that MRI is usually more expensive, so I don't think 600,000 is crazy but you might be served to shop around a bit.
I would just recommend you get it done, unless you know its something minor, I once put off an ultrasound to save 80 USD and it turned out, several months later, I had quite a serious problem and was luck the extra time didn't make it incurable. |

i have lower back pain and according to the xrays was born with a bone defect in which a part of my lower spine isn't fused. the doctor said it's fine but wants to take an MRI to see if there is any nerve damage. i'm going to check out hanyang uni in a week or two and will update. |

Try Bundang, I had one done there on my head for 130,000. It's worth the commute. |

Had an MRI at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital several years ago on my knee concerning a torn hamstring for 645,000원. I think I was consulted by a medical school professor there (excellent English but a somewhat short session). |
