My scalp tends to get pretty flaky and itchy over summer and the shampoo my doctor gives me doesn't seem to help. I'm using Head and Shoulders just now but would like to try to find Nizoral or T-gel shampoo as they are a bit stronger.
If you know anywhere that stocks any of this please let me know.
Thanks.

Pharmacies have Nizoral shampoo. Just ask at the counter. I don't know about T-gel, but you could see if they have that too.

Use Nizoral to hit it hard then just use Head and Shoulders again.

I am bumping this because I'm just about to move to S. Korea and will want to have a stock of Nizoral while I'm there. Can someone please tell me how much it costs at the pharmacies there?

This might prove useful to someone out there.

As stated above, Nizoral shampoo can be found at just about any pharmacy. And if you go to the doctor and get a prescription the shampoo will cost you only a fraction of the price. I don't remember how much of a saving, but it's significant.

They no longer do prescriptions for this.

It was significant, a 20,000won bottle of nizoral could be had for 7,000.
A find the 20,000 will last me about 2 months. I can barely skip a day of it without my scalp acting up.

Dove has a new type of shampoo and conditioner out called "sensitive scalp" that you can find here in Korea. I have had similar scalp issues in the past, but since I have started using the Dove products I haven't had any problems. I found it at a local mart near my home so you should be able to find it at the bigger box stores like E-Mart or HomePlus. It might be a cheaper and more convenient option than trying to find Nizoral or T-Gel.

I used to have problems with dandruff. My friend said it was because i
didn't dry my scalp completely. I am not really sure why, but drying my head with a blow dryer made all the difference. Never had a problem with
dandruff again.

Good luck.

I know this sounds goofy but many Koreans also have problems with dandruff. They also have straight, black hair and dandruff is a common problem. If you can't find a shampoo that is strong enough for you ask your Korean teachers for help. You may be surprised, but finding a common problem like this can actually help you in a Korean workplace. The women will know where to get dandruff shampoo and you will score points for having
something in common with others in a collective society. Yes, it can help you.

I use pine tar bar soap/shampoo that I get from iherb.

It's not as strong as T-gel, but seems to help. I hardly had dandruff before moving here. My dad sent me some T-gel, and it was great. I used it once a week, and my scalp was great, but I felt bad having him send it to me when I could get something similar on my own. I tried the pine tar stuff, and it's pretty good. I have to use it twice a week, but I like it. The smell makes me think of a campfire.
