Why would a Dr in England need to hire someone outside of England to come to England and teach him English? |

In no order:
1. Middlesbrough is a crap hole!
2. Unless you have a UK passport you would need a work VISA, which you would not get for this job!!!!!

| I just thought it was odd that someone living in an English speaking country would go through the trouble of hiring someone living in another English speaking country (I'm american) to come over and teach them English. Literally everyone where he lives should be speaking English at least 99% of the time. I don't think it would be that hard to find an ESL teacher in England who's willing to teach in England. |

Ha ha - 99% English speaking in the UK? You're joking!
Besides immigration (a good 25%) of the UK born population carn't even speak English coherently! As for Middlesbrough |

This is a spam mail. I've had these before too. The first time, I followed it up - sounds like such a great opportunity!
It's not though - just some kind of scam. It's a bit like those emails you get from Nigeria, saying someone died and left all their money to you, only thing is the sender of the email wants you to put up a little cash first for, [erm...] legal fees, and stuff.
Ignore it - honestly, I've had loads of these with the exact same detail. The only difference is the location - the first one I got about three years back, wanted me to move up to Norwich. |

Just got the same email tonight that you received. I have a few profiles set up on Au Pair sites as well as ESL sites and you get these all of the time. They are more often than not set up to get personal information off of you!
3,000 GBP is a great first sign that it is surely fake! I can promise you no one will pay someone nearly 5,000 USD a month and those who can afford it always go through a reputable agency to do their "leg work". I was flown out to Moscow to interview with a family through an agency who was offering even more money than that to teach their kids English. I declined due to the fact that this dude was surely involved in the Russian mob... nice wife though. Long story short if you want to do an ESL gig with an Au Pair aspect to it, there are plenty of reputable agencies to go through, and anything personally sent to you is most certainly a scam. |
