Where I'm from, if I report a false crime to the police, I'm in big trouble and may face jail time.

I'm tired of politicians getting a pass when the rest of us are subject to the law.

Oh right, I forgot about her. She got a lot of press during the '08 election and then fell of the radar. Until now. Yeah, definitely a marriage of convenience for both of them.

What? I thought the big stink was that he refused to take this to the police. He hired private investigators.

You think she married him for the status?

Depends on what you mean. As in his status as a Congressman? No. What I meant was you have two type-a people who are successful in the political realm (albeit in different spheres) who probably could care less about marriage but for appearance sake get hitched. I'm sure they enjoy(ed?) each others company but they're not exactly enamored with one another.

Obviously I'm totally speculating here.

Yes, but as Kuros said, this didn't happen.

edit: corrected typo.

Excuse the typos in the last post. I'll clean it up when I'm on a computer that actually lets me edit them.

What a dork. What he did was not only tacky but reckless. It appears Andrew Breitbart is stalking him, waiting for just this kind of foolish blunder.

I don't quite get the oooing about the wife. Her shoulder blades are bigger than her, um, a, other frontal parts.

More on Huma Abedin

Wiener sucks. Before I thought he was entertaining on the TV shows. Of course, his colleagues reviled him because he was more interested in showmanship than nuts-and-bolts governance (and showmanship is not what we need right now in Congress). But now I think he's a completely sad attention-*beep*. They haven't been married 11 months. What a [mod edit].

Majority Leader Pelosi and some other party big wig named Israel have already called for an ethics investigation. Usually members of the same party speak up in support when something like this happens. It isn't happening this time. Conclusion: A. W. is toast. He'll resign soon.

Good for Pelosi. I don't agree with her politics all the time and I think she's nakedly ambitious, and resembles the trend putting fundraising before policy, but we could do worse.
