Imagine a society where you cant trust your brother or sister. Where lying becomes so ingrained in you that you cant stop yourself from doing it. It is an alternate world and when North Korean Refugees come to South Korea they often cant handle the outside world. For more information about their situation and how to help North Korean Refugees please go to http://www.busanchristian.com/2011/06/most-broken-people.html

The website also list information about a North Korean human rights event happening in Jinju on June 25th.

Have you ever met a North Korean or volunteered to help them? Do you know of any organization which helps refugees in South Korea?

I'm all for helping North Korean refugees, but is trying to convert them to Christianity really the best course of action?

I used to teach an adult who worked at a gu office. His job was providing govt aid, education, and work placement for these refugees. He said the biggest problem was that they were lazy and didnt want to work.

I wondered how much of that was them feeling hopeless here.

The Christians in South Korea must be salivating when they think of all the possible-converts up north after unification. I understand the goal of helping North Koreans but I don't understand why religion has to be anything to do with it.

You made the website right?

I want to say that there are Christian organizations helping North Koreans and they will help them regardless of whether or not they convert.

Also I think it is great there are organizations helping North Koreans whether religious or secular. Please people if you know of any organization helping North Koreans that would be great. I want to know about them it doesn't matter what faith they are from or if they are completely secular. Let's all work together to help North Korean Refugees.

I heard the same. Apparently just showing up at all and taking breaks all the time is acceptable behavior.

The title of this post is not entirely on the mark.

Korea divided (1945)
At the Potsdam Conference (JulyAugust 1945), the Allies unilaterally decided to divide Koreawithout consulting the Koreansin contradiction of the Cairo Conference (November 1943) where Churchill, Chiang Kai-shek, and Franklin D. Roosevelt declared that Korea would be a free nation and an independent country.

...as well as the US and British allies, yes I think you've got it now. And this isn't what I mean, this is a recorded fact. Any Korean who didn't sleep through history class knows this, you can ask them yourself.
