I'm leaving Korea at the end of the month and intended to leave the majority of my money in my KEB account and simply do an internet banking transfer to my remittance account when the exchange rate got better.

I'll be heading to South America for a few months traveling and am looking for some advice on how to access cash there.

Is it the same thing if I use my International Check Card from KEB to withdraw funds from Korea in SA? Or am I better to transfer my money to a Canadian Account and then use that to withdraw my money?

I see it as converting once v.s. twice, am I missing something?
