Do you still have the receipt? Not sure if 90,000 discount is a good deal.

If 90,000 is not a good discount, what do you suggest is a fair discount?

I'm kinda interested in the computer, but I'd rather fork out the extra 90,000 for a 'fresh' product. Knock off a couple of hundred and I might take the bait.

this is how it normally works. buy a car and drive it 10 meters off the lot and attempt to sell it to anyone and it's lost a couple hundred or thousand depending on its value.

such a small discount as the one you have on your macbook is probably not enough incentive in a local market, however you do have the advantage of having an american machine in a foreign market if someone needed one for any particular reason.

however, you also have the disadvantage of not having a korean machine in case someone would rather pay the small extra that you are discounting yours by and have a keyboard with hangul on it, and stock electric plugs that don't require adapters which are things that are extremely helpful in this country.

seeing how a base 17' mbp goes for 2,499usd and with current exchange rates equals 2,702,668won, i think you are still getting the very good end of the stick at 2.8 by making almost a 100k profit.

edit: buying something from the us and quoting a korean price isn't the most legitimate method for selling something. if the product was exactly the same then there would probably be no ethical issue, however since the macbook is an american edition and not a korean edition, the price should have been based on the usd to won conversion, not the stock korean edition price.

surely he bases the price on the market hes selling it in and on the best price he thinks he'll get for it in relation to the time he's willing to invest in the sale and the depreciation in its brand new shiny value based on the length of time it takes the seller to sell it?

I hadn't thought of that! Nor what some of the other posters have said. Actually, the refurb models (in the US) are considerably less.

OP. Why are you selling it?
