Police gun down man in parked car, threaten to shoot witnesses for filming it

(NaturalNews) When Narces Benoit decided to use his cell phone to film Miami Beach police officers gunning down a man sitting in a parked car early Monday morning, he had no idea the same cops would eventually target him as well. According to video evidence and witness testimony, officers pointed a gun at Narces and his girlfriend, threw them to the ground, destroyed his camera and what they thought was the footage he captured, and handcuffed and arrested the couple, all because Narces happened to capture indicting video evidence of the officers' heinous actions.

The Miami Herald reports that Narces and his girlfriend were driving on Collins Avenue in South Beach, Fla., when they happened upon the shocking tail-end of a police chase involving Raymond Herisse, the suspect in question who had allegedly fled police following a scuffle. When Herisse's car later came to a stop, officers surrounded the vehicle and unloaded more than 100 rounds at the car, effectively murdering Herisse and injuring four innocent bystanders.

The Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) has tried to justify their shooting spree by claiming that Herisse attempted to run over officers with his car, but Narces' video footage, which was salvaged when he discreetly removed his cell phone's memory card and put it in his mouth before officers destroyed it, shows otherwise. In the video, it is clearly evident that Narces' vehicle had been stopped both prior to and during the time when the gang of officers murdered him in cold blood.

View the video footage for yourself here.

Perhaps even more disturbing than the actual shooting, though, is the way the police aggressively threatened and intimidated those who witnessed the situation, including Narces and his girlfriend. After allegedly putting guns to their heads and throwing them to the ground, Narces says one officer grabbed his cell phone and said "You want to be [expletive] Paparazzi?" upon which he proceeded to smash the phone and stick it back into Narces' pocket...

This is another case of cold blooded murder committed by the cops in the police state that has slowly evolved over the United States. Cops have murdered hundreds of innocents over the decades that this police state has been growing, unchecked by the people.

Every cop involved in that murder should get life in prison. For those who believe in a death penalty, these are the first who should get the death penalty - cops and public officials who commit such crimes while abusing their power.

There are no circumstances that justify what those cops did.

Since 1913, America has become a fascist-socialist police state in a gradual but natural evolution due to the evil of all forms of socialism.

Liberty is the answer.

silly people..........so in all of your wisdom, please share with us what the person in the car was holidng in his/her hand and doing?

AND......from a distance, a person holding a cell phone (especially if it is dark) can easily look like a weapon.

Tragic, yes.

But don't start making assumptions when you honestly don't know the hell happened.

So the comment about being a paparazzi...was because the officer thought the phone/camera was a gun?? Are paparazzi now know for their armed conflicts?

Um, are you actually a 'teacher'?

There needs to be some sort of mental health exam for would-be teachers who say these kinds of absolutely ridiculous things. Or at least, they need to have their so-called education credentials reviewed (are they fake?)

1. Fascism and socialism have nothing in common; they are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

2. The actions of a few hundred officers since your arbitrary year (1913) hardly constitutes a conspiracy brought on by some evil cigar-smoking man in a suit (who would be dead by now anyways).

3. Every country has bad nurses, police, lawyers, engineers, etc. and judging by your post, 'teachers', too.

4. What needs to be done is a proper evaluation for all officers and scrutiny of new recruits similar to what the Canadian RCMP get (ie, polygraph exams)

The one-dimensional, single line, political spectrum to which you refer has been abandoned, dead and buried for over 50 years by competent political scientists.

Fascism and socialism are in the same corner of the political map which has replaced the one line spectrum.

Fascism is a form of socialism.

Tough job to be a cop. I wouldn't want to do it. I also think their salaries and department should be the last thing to face a budget cut. Doesn't matter what your issue is: education. the environment. etc., without an orderly society its all moot.

I'd like to see this investifated thoroughly. If, as I suspect, many of these cops acted improperly and/or criminally, prosecute them thoroughly. With the badge comes an awesome responsibility. A responsibility they sought. No one asked them to be cops, they pursued that job, oftentimes with an obsessive drive. Too many cowboys and guys (or gals) who are compensating by becoming cops and having a gun.

I hope (and suspect) this incident is the exception rather than the rule. I hope and pray it is. There have been police departments that had/have a cowboy culture throughout the force. Philadelphia a few decades ago, LA. NYC was accused of that culture as well several years ago.

I am not taking anyone's side when I say that you're supposed to hear to the TOS and not attack a poster's mental health. If a poster crosses the line with a post, then we deal with the situation. However, ad-hominem attacks on posters leads to a degeneration of the forum.

If you all see such behavior above, send me a P.M. Even if I think any of are insane, it violates the TOS for me to say so.

Are we clear? Thank you...

I have been a mental health professional and find ontheway's post to be perfectly rational.

But you are right, he is not merely a teacher, but a university professor of economics. He knows whereof he speaks.

Darwin award.

How can you run from police officers, initiates a police chase, then when surrounded refuse to exit your car, and wave a gun at the police....

..and not expect to be killed?

Except that the car was stopped and not moving.

The man was never asked nor given a chance to exit the car.

The man never fired, waved or even showed a gun.

The man didn't have a gun in his hands at all.

(although, days later the cops have found a gun hidden somewhere in the car ... sure, numbers filed off and not registered I'll bet ... another convenient throwaway weapon used in an attempt coverup or whitewash another murder by America's most dangerous gang ... Many years ago, 60 minutes had an episode of a cop, decades after the fact, admitting to having done the same kind of thing to cover up a murder by cop situation. Unfortunately these events happen on a regular basis all over the US.)

In cop gangs, like other gangs, the members are loyal only to their fellow gang members. They have initiation rites, develop a group identity, are isolated from society, they suffer from group paranoia, view themselves as under siege against the outside world, hold secret meetings, have gang rituals, engage in risky behavior that reaffirms group membership, develop their own secret lingo, and wear gang colors.)

So, you know and saw everthing that happened before the video was filmed?

I wish I had powers like that.

Oh, so now we just imagine whatever is necessary to justify police brutality? There is NOTHING to suggest contradiction of ANY of the negatives ontheway listed.

Now this is police misconduct. I don't know about the shooting, but there is absolutely no reason to confiscate and smash videos recording the incident. The cops responsible should be charged with destruction of property and assault.
