I was given a verbal notice and will receive a written one tomorrow.
The boss wants to write it up as a mutually agreed upon decision although that is not the truth. The contract states that I should be given at least 45 days notice. They want me to leave sooner so the new teacher can start the intensive program. They do not want to switch teachers a few days into it. Since they are not giving me the full notice, as per contract, I think that by law they have pay me up to the 45 day mark.
Should I insist they write the letter up as a termination letter or agree to sign one stating it was mutually agreed upon? I do not plan to look for another job in Korea. |

You can fight over it but more likely the case - you won't get paid for your last month and there will be all sorts of strange deductions.
Unless you plan to stay to fight over it at the labor board, take your money and depart at your convenience (the day after payday is usually good).
