I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before. I've used the search and have read older posts but nothing recent has been added so I am here now asking are there any Gyopo's teaching in Korea? Did you use a recruiter? How long did it take to find a job? I'm a new member so cannot PM but if you can email me at [email protected] I would highly appreciate it. Thank you!

By and large the majority of recruiters won't touch you since it is illegal to work as a teacher without a degree (ministry of education rules - not an immigration issue).

That said, IF you are in Korea you can look on places like work'n'play and Craigs list to find work to get you started.

You can also prepare a resume and cover letter and hit the pavement.
You will find work in a hagwan but it will take some work on your part to get it.

Thanks TTOM, I'm actually in Korea currently volunteering at a hospital in Yeosu. I've been sending out multiple resume/photos each day to recruiters and schools directly. Thanks for the info and hopefully I'll get a response soon. If anyone else has any advice to offer I'd appreciate it as well.
