Last year Apple previewed Mac OS X Lion. It was a new take on a computer OS in that it would bring the look and feel of the iPhone OS to the desktop, with many of the touch gestures, icons, interface, etc. employed by the iOS.

Guess what? Two weeks ago Microsoft previewed Windows 8 and has proven once again it cannot innovate. Windows 8 is basically a copy of Lion. It is Windows Phone 7 brought to the desktop, complete with gestures, icons, interface, etc.

Sometimes I think "Same-sung" and M$ are the same company. Can't innovate. Can only copy what others do. Same-sung can't release a tablet until it sees what Apple will do, and M$ can't start work on a new OS until it sees what Apple will do. What a pair of spectacular companies.

Have you seen the Galaxy S2? Rave reviews everywhere..... and released months before the Iphone 5 is to be seen.

BTW, Apple Inoovate? Serious?

Why is it that every update on the IOS is a copy of something that has already been out on Jailbroken phones or Android?

Apple is definitely NOT a pioneer. Other companies innovate, Apple spends more time on development, so their products are good because they don't try to be the "First".

And have you seen the interface and icons used on Same-sung's smartphones like the S2? Basically a copy of the iPhone 3. Gestures are almost the same and icons look almost identical.

Innovation is not a Korean strongpoint. Hyundai, Kia, Same-sung, LG. Take your pick. None of them innovate.

But, back to the original point, here goes M$ again. "Apple is making its computer OS like its phone OS so I guess we've got to do it too.... only one year later."

Brilliant!

Innovate means "to make changes in something established."

Picking up a dictionary might help you more when making arguments. It's amazing how many so called "English teachers" seem to have never opened a dictionary.

Apple did not invent the smartphone, but it did innovate. When the original iPhone was released, it was head and shoulders above any other smartphone in usability and polish.

Apple did not invent the MP3 player, but it was the first to make it easy to use and easy to search through thousands of songs.

Apple did not invent applications, but it was the first to make them a central part of the smartphone experience.

Apple did not invent tablet computers, but it was the first to make a truly usable tablet computer.

I could go on, but the above are examples not of invention, but of innovation (see the definition above).

Same-sung does not invent, nor does it innovate. It copies.

To its credit, Microsoft at times has both invented and innovated, but it has also copied many of the recent features in the Mac OS. Just look at the comparisons of Jaguar and Vista. Vista was a blatant rip-off of most things in Jaguar. The calendar looked almost the same, they had "Gadgets" (Widgets), etc.

Here's a video if you don't believe Vista was a blatant copy of the Mac OS.

With Windows 8, history repeats itself.

How many Windows users who have never used a mac are going to argue this one?

Yes, you are a poster boy Apple Fanboy and Microsoft Hater. There are thousands more like you who blindly follow the pack.

You are the Apple equivalent of 됀장녀. You would probably buy poop in a paper bag if it had an Apple logo and Thunderbolt cable.

PKANG, you haven't defended Windows 8 and you haven't defended Same-sung's lack of creativity (a company that can't even make its own OS for its own phone). Instead, you drop to the tired old Kool Aid and fanboy comments. Not surprising that you, too, lack any creativity.

Can't or don't? Samsung has stated very publicly that they don't write software. Never did.

Besides, one company trying to bend the world to their will is enough. Then again, people like you seem to enjoy being bent, so there may just be room.

If Same-sung doesn't write software, then what was Bada? Bada was the Same-sung developed smartphone OS that ended in epic failure.

Perhaps you should research a bit before posting this nonsense.

Edit: typo
