I guess it isn't just Jobs; the whole company is childish. Must be a clause in the contract.

I was thinking that Ford should sue GM... doors, 4 wheels, clear class windows, etc...sounds like they have a case!

http://news.cnet.com/apple-forces-samsung-to-hand-over-galaxy-prototypes/8301-17938_105-20065843-1.html?tag=mncol;mlt_related

I guess the market for triangular smartphones with sharp corners is limited, what with most consumers being human and therefore anatomically similar, necessitating a certain shape.

Well done Apple.

Here is a rare tidbit. I guess they do actually take their marbles and go home.....sometimes.

I see you're new to the world of high tech intellectual property suits. But just so you feel this is different... boo, hiss, bad Apple!

Well, we are encouraged to think different right?

OOOW! Immense, consuming hatred for a tech company paired with juvenile name calling?

Does you life have more meaning now?

Why do you feel the need to rush to their defense each and every time? And why start with a slur against me? Is it that personal to you? Nothing to say about the post? Pathetic.

1. I'm not defending anything on this thread. Nor do I do it each and every time.
2. Point out the slur I made first.
3. I did say plenty about the post. You took it personally.
4. If you're looking for friends who share the same selective insight, PM Keldhar.

That's Kheldar.

I wouldn't take him too seriously Carbon. Between him and Chokse, they are the unofficial protectors of Apple and if they feel anyone is attacking their precious leader, they quickly come to its defense.

Nokia recently won a settlement with Apple though it doesn't help Nokia's future market situation. Samsung and Apple are the clear leaders so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. It'll probably get dragged out forever in court and by the time anything happens (like with Nokia and Apple), they'll have already moved on to newer technology.

Again, not defending anyone here. And, i see you've forgotten my view on Jobs. Why is it you are so intent on imagining things?

Yes, and I want my iCookie.

Now, looking at your posting history, I am not sure that "immense" and "consuming" are strong enough for you.

You are a stereotype.

I'll put it to you this way. If you had posted about the lawsuit between Nokia and Google, or any other of the scores of tech-suits in existence, I would have replied exactly the same.

But you didn't. You took the time to round up series of articles, added cute comments and a catchy title meant at satisfying a peculiar hate for a tech company, while thinking you were on to something new.

Then when someone pointed out the obvious, you slobbered out your binky and resorted to name calling.

You see, my posting history on this subject has more to do with answering the ignorance behind threads like these, rather than supporting or defending anyone. It's not my fault you need to wallow in hating something so much that it obscures the reality of what I say.

Just like when you needed to voice your disgust and call names on the thread about iPhone location recording without even realizing that other platforms are guilty of it as well.

Now, you keep hiding behind your fanboy and pathetic comments and I'll keep pointing out how much of a winner you are.

Deal?

No deal.

I don't know who you think you are kidding. Everyone here knows that you are absolutely, madly devoted to Apple. Page after page of posts attest to this. I invite anyone to do a search and see for themselves. Compared to my Apple posts....maybe 6 or 7 tops...yet I am the one consumed by hatred?

Then you call everyone down and try to act like you aren't the guy who has spent years - yes, years - lovingly defending Apple from criticism.

Anyway, this thread was just to make a point to some others here and friends of mine who only lurk. Congrats...you are what you are.

See you in the next thread.

LOL!!... apparently it IS a deal then.

Yes, my 2008 laptop and 2009 desktop surely illustrate that I am madly devoted to Apple. I admit that every chance I get, I go down to the Apple store and just drool longingly at those iPads, iPods, Mac Airs, and quadcores in the window for hours on end. Why, if it weren't for the restraining order, I'd own every last damn piece of shiny metal they put together, and add them to my shrine of eternal devotion.
Oh yes, I love Apple so much, I am consumed by hatred! Isn't that right Carbon? Pure genius there. Do yourself and your friends who only lurk a favor and think before you write.

It's no secret I attest to Apple products and that I do defend them here. So what? - Not on this thread though, nor on many others. If you want to look like an imbecile by saying so for the benefit of your friends-who-only-lurk, go right ahead. I argue about what I know. I know and use PCs, and I know and use Macs. I obviously do a lot more reading on the subject than you do, and I'm happy to use that info when I see asinine threads like this one pop up. It's not really the slagging of Apple, it's the ignorance behind it. The fun comes when I point that ignorance out, and watch as people like you shovel it until there's nowhere to go except the fanboy department.

If I'm such a fanboy, where was my defense of antenna-gate? Did you gloss over that in your search of my years of hate filled love posts? What about my statement that when a product comes along that suits my needs better than Apple, I will dump my Mac like I dumped my PC. Or what about the fact that I think Jobs is a donkey? How about the thread where I said the iPad wasn't worth the price. Nice to see you were paying attention in your research to prove a point that you thought was already so well known.

That brings us to this latest post of yours...Are you really sure you want to go this way now? It wasn't enough that your OP was a dud, but now you want to state that you went through all this trouble to prove something that you thought was already known? You gathered links, commented on them, misinterpreted my reply, used code to construct an insult, went through my posting history, lobbed more insults... only to point out to everyone AND your-friends-who-only-lurk, than I am a fanboy?

Really now? This is the level of character and intelligence I am interacting with? I mean this much to you? Take a step back and run this all through your mind again. What will your friends-who-only-lurk say when they read that you did this all for me? You need to deal with bigger things than a hatred for a tech company.

LOL! @ friends who only lurk.

About our next thread... I also like House music. I listen to it all the time. I think it's better than hip-hop. I think it's better than all other kinds of music and I defend it too! I have a posting history on it, so feel free to use it if you want to try make the point that Im a house music fanboy.

Didn't Dave's ban religion threads some time ago? I think a similar rule should be started regarding Microsoft and Apple threads. Bam! Not allowed!

It seems impossible to have a civil discourse on the Internet about Microsoft or Apple. I don't understand why people have such attachments to corporations. No public corporation has its customers' interests at heart. A corporation's sole reason for existence is to make money for its shareholders. Sometimes the corporation's interests and the customers' interests coincide. That usually happens with successful companies.

True enough, but there is something oddly fascinating about the way Apple consumers regard their products and the company that makes them. Sometimes it does seem to border on the fanatical, in an almost cult-like fashion.
