Hi,
I am re-signing for 3 months at my hagwon, and they have informed me I need a new CRC and new apostilles.
This seems a bit excessive. Are they correct?

Any ideas?

TIA

Maybe yes, maybe no.

If you have NOT been asked by Kimmi to provide them nor have you been told by Kimmi that they will be needed then you may be allowed to slide by during this grace period (2011).

IF you have already had 1 change of status to your file SINCE the changes were announced then you will need them (assuming they are not on file already).

The ONLY way to be 100% sure is for you to go to your local kimmi office and ASK what they want you to submit for your extension. Make sure you get the name of the person at the counter and return to that person (or you may find the next person has a different answer next time you get to the counter).

I just renewed at my hagwon yesterday for another three months. Didn't need any of those. All I needed was a new signed contract, passport and arc card. My boss went over and did it in the morning. Came back and gave me my arc card back with four months extra written on the back (3 months plus one to leave korea in). Was easy.
