|
|
I posted this on the job discussion board as well, but this one seems more populated--
I've been with my public school for almost ten months now, and a few weeks ago my co-worker handed me a Korean document to sign, explaining that it was asking for my permission to have the school check to see if I am a sexual predator. I submitted my (clean) background check from the U.S. before I arrived in Korea, so I'm not sure why they are asking me to do this now. I signed the paper because Ithink it porbably would have been pretty creepy had I declined, but I keep wondering what the deal was. Any thoughts? |

I signed the same thing recently. I'm always a little angry at myself for signing something i can't read, but i've put aside my normal standards while living in Korea. |

You sure it wasn't just the Korean Police backgroung check? Everyone teaching in PS, Koreans and westerners have to sign this now.
Thats the only thing I've signed for this year, mine was identical to my K co-teachers, she showed me.
Why would you have to sign anything to do with a sexual predators check, as you say our CBC covers that |

Mandatory castration should be a pre requisite to getting an E2 visa in Korea. |
