How about stations that are the biggest pain in the butt? Dongmyo gets my vote.

+ Noryangjin and Dongdaemun.

Anguk is nice.

What is nice about Anguk?

It exits at a number of palaces and museums in the heart of Seoul, and it has artwork inside the station.

OP, are you looking for architecture or maybe larger stations with stores in or above the station? Some interesting stations could include: Seoul Station, Jamsil, Bupyeong, and, in a few months when renovations are finished, Sindorim.

I am looking for architecture and larger stations with interesting things in them....basically anything that is cool and makes them stand apart from your run-of-the-mill stations.

What are the special points about the stations you mention above? And what is happening with Sindorim??

Thanks!

They are great for shopping, and Sindorim is being renovated to be part of D Cube City, (with a Taco Bell!), opening in August.

It will also include an international food court with a Sweet Castle.

We are doing someone's research? Nothing new. 10 Magazine regularly uses forums like these for story ideas.

My vote for worst is far and away the Express Bus Terminal. I have been to the station probably 30 times over the past few years and it never fails to be the most confusing station known to man kind.

you sir, have clearly never seen the rabbit warrens that are Chatelet-Les Halles in Paris or Shinjuku in Tokyo. that said, i agree, Express Bus Terminal probably is the most confusing in Seoul. Central City Mall, Shinsegae, the bus terminal proper, the Marriott, and the always bewildering Gangnam Underground Shopping Center can make it hard to figure out what direction is up.

Lol, I was just talking about Seoul. There are tons that are way worse in the world. Many stops in Tokyo, I will agree, are terrible and I think every station in NYC is arguably worse than the worst Seoul has to offer.

Nobody has mentioned Noksapyeong?

Seoul subway is great, my only complaint is some of the interchanges. Nothing worse than trudging up some corridor to find the train is not going in your direction and you have to backtrack. Sadang always seems to get me.

Oh, I forgot about that one. I've been there once only but it was bad enough that I'll try to avoid it in the future. Signs our pointing to all random directions, it is really confusing. It was a Sunday morning so the underground shops and vendors were closed but I can only imagine how is it like with the usual crowd and the way blocked by shoe, cloth and whatever displays.
That station is a real madness.

There's one somewhere in Incheon with a space for dance practice. Haven't been myself, but I've seen pictures from friends. Don't remember what station, though.
