| This is one of the reasons I'm glad I hail from the Northeast Kingdom rather than Cali. |

Except that this person showed no remorse...indeed refused to admit to it. Someone like that who clearly has no conscience and who committed that kind of assault needs to be jailed...no matter how much time has passed. |

In some of your worlds no one is safe. No male is safe. So, I tried to feel up a girl at a dance 30 years ago. Now, can she come back on me for sexual assault? This is nonesense.
Going back to the OP. If a 17 year old feels up a 15 year old at a dance and she doesn't object this is normal. This is what teenagers do. This is being human. |

So, if he showed remores he shouldn't do time?
Using this line of thought most things that would be considered routine even if unpleasant like bullying while they were elementary, middle or high school and bullying is physically abusive and has similar long term effects emotionally, these adults should be jailed as well?
Plenty of girls in my high school got drunk at house parties and had sex. It could easily be argued they were raped. 45 years later, still suffering emotional trauma as a result, millions of guys should be in jail. Half the football team in my HS for that matter. |

Yeah, that was pretty lame.

He was a 12-year-old kid himself involved with an 11-year-old! Yeah, right, we should go around jailing any kid who ever felt anyone up.
TUM, seriously. do the words fairness and statute of limitations mean anything to you? If it were you, how easy would it be to defend yourself against a charge from 45 years ago? Do you remember where you were? Who you were with? What were you doing at 4:30pm that day? |
