Hello,
I will be coming to Korea in August and was wondering about music subscriptions. Will it be easier/best to use a VPN to access a site like napster, rhapsody, zunepass, etc. for their monthly subscrptions? Or would it be best to use a site like Melon, etc already in Korea? I am curious as to which is best so I know what mp3 player to buy as some aren't compatible with the different services. (I know some people pirate music but I am ok with paying 10/15 bucks a month for unlimited songs or 10 bucks to d/l a certain amount within that month)
Also, does melon have an English site? thanks for any and all info! It is greatly appreciated. |

There's not a whole lot to say really. Seems like you know how it works. Rhapsody, etc normally don't work outside of the US, but you could access them with a VPN. Melon doesn't have an English site (and as far as I know none of the Korean services do), but it's not that hard to use if you can learn to read a minimal amount of Korean.
Are you interested in Korean music? If yes, Melon or another Korean service would be a good choice.
If not, go with one of the US services for a greater selection of Western music. |

| Or you can just listen for free (streaming radio) using Shoutcast.com , but that's probably not what you're looking for. |
