I don't know about the salsa dancing scene,
but as far as swing dancing, everyone asks everyone to dance. You don't need to go with a partner. It's a very friendly, social environment. Everyone just wants to dance! ^^ (I often go alone.)
The dances are usually 7-11pmish unless it's a special event. |

| Might we get a few words from anyone who might be out there now as to the current state of dancing in Korea? (what's opened up, what's still open, what's closed, which sites are bogus etc.) Thanks! |

I can update on WCS here a bit. The scene in Apgujeong closed WCS at Ringopop- they moved to Gangnam station and share Club Inca with the salsa scene there. I know they do a couple classes at a time there in WCS, I've been going there for over a year now. Nice folks.
A couple people from that group have started All Star WCS just a couple stops away at Shinnonhyeon Station (Swing Bar). They have a facebook group now- look up All Star West Coast Swing Korea and you can find them. At both of these places where I go there are people who speak English and there are a few foreigners who attend regularly. Really nice folks. I do know there are a couple other WCS places further south around Seoul National University. Again, they're on facebook- Westie Korea. I feel like the scene is slowly taking off. The people are great and always looking for new people to join. Most of the advertising is still only in Korean for WCS, but the folks in charge of both groups are fluent in English. |
