We are looking for a good home for our lovely dog, Winnie. She was rescued from the Daejeon Shelter in 2008 (She is 3 years old now) when she was 5 weeks old (due to an illness going around the shelter). However, we are now moving, and our new apartment frowns upon us having more than one dog. Also, my mother in law has been pressuring us for far too long about the dogs.

So, here we are looking for a new home for Winnie. She is an active spirit, house-trained, loves walks and a good tummy scratch. She is a mixed breed and about 5-6 kilograms. She is very skinny, and kind of lengthy. she is always happy with her tail wagging. Even though she is active, she is fine to leave alone.

I have been putting off this post for many months now, as I really hate to see her go, but the pressure from the mother in law is getting to be too much, and with the new apartment, it is time.

About Winnie:

Age - 3 years old (born February 2008).
Breed: Mixed
Temperament: active, but not anxious. loves walks, but she can also be relaxed.
Vaccinations: current, but need to be renewed in August
Health: Perfect

She is really a wonderful doggie. I will be selective with who she goes to. Also, there will be a 70,000 won adoption fee. She comes with a crate, and other extras.

So really you're selling your dog for 70,000 won. How can there be an 'adoption fee' when it's a private transaction?

An adoption fee is to help insure she is going to a home of someone that would take good care of her. An adoption fee is standard anywhere you go, and required on most websites that adopt out animals. Check out http://www.animalrescuekorea.org if you want more information. Just looking for a good home for her.

So you've had the dog for 3 years and now your just gonna give it over because a landlord frowns on it? Did you check before you moved? Why not find a place that allows dogs? Most landlords here give in to the pressure if you insist that the dog is part of your family. However, it doesn't sound like she is part of your family.

Shocking, a person who adopts a dog mentions that it's a rescue. Usually they just keep it to themselves-oh, wait.

Good luck!

Man the jackasses really come out of the woodwork when people put up pets for adoption. The OP RESCUED the dog. The dog lived a good life for almost 3 years instead of being put to sleep or thrown back on the street. And you want to shame them for that?

Yea because when you keep a dog that long it bonds with you. It sees you as it's pack and after a while doesn't know how to live without it's pack. She rescused it with the intent of keeping it. Not giving it up later.

Thanks for calling me a jackass.

We're allowed to say "jackass" on here? What about "jackass with poor punctuation", can we say that? Laughing

I fear a return to 2007ish when NOBODY could mention getting rid of a pet under ANY circumstances, no matter how benign or benevolent, without bringing out the kneejerk flamers. Rolling Eyes Please, it's old.

It's clear that OP has helped this dog. OP, I wish I could meet your doggie, but the better half says "no"... Sad

It's better to be fostered and confused when changing homes than killed.

I'm sorry that I can't take the dog. I just got one a couple of months ago, and don't have room for a second.

I feel bad for that dog. It's too bad about people. If the OP truly cared about the dog as a member of their own family, they'd just foot the bill to move to an apartment that doesn't 'frown' on dogs. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Just kidding, you're a good guy and you are an amazing Christmas singer get together-er- of- people- to- sing- in- the- church guy.

Not much meat on those bones. What have you been feeding that poor dog? Chicken liver & kidneys wouldn't hurt once in awhile ya know.

I brown the sliced liver in a little butter on both sides, then cut it into small pieces.

For the kidneys, I put them in a colendar in the sink and pour a pot of boiling water over them,. I then put the rinsed kidneys back into the pot, cover with cold water, bing to a boil, then cover and turn off the heat. When cool enough to handle, I cut it into bite sized pieces.

These are two of my dog's favorite foods.

Yea and now what's she doing with it? Do some research about dogs and bonding. Then come and volunteer and see a few dogs that have been re-homed and watch the behavior problems that arise. Then it become a dog no one wants and is ultimately put down.
