I wouldn't mind getting that PM either. I am fine with my school, but a friend of mine will be leaving a hagwon in 3 months and they have already done some pretty shady business.

No need for a pm. There's a free government-subsidized legal service that can be accessed by most anyone. It's a free call to 132, though you'll likely need a Korean translator to help you out.

Free? It's part of the agreement, in exchange for work.

Enjoy your contracted flight home.

No, it's compensation for work done, the same as a monthly paycheck, housing stipend, severance pay, pension, and insurance coverage. It would only be a 'free benefit' if it was unexpected and not part of the contract.

It's technically part of our pay. It's in our contract. We earn it through working. If it weren't in our contract, it'd be a free benefit.

Try leaving before the end of your contract, you'll soon find out how much of a "free benefit" it really is.

Mercy.
