I thought I would share my school story with you.

I have been an EPIK teacher for a year and a half, I have a nice place to live a nice school, co workers are OK but to be honest I don't speak to them that often, realised it causes a lot of problems.

When I started my contract the school counted my hours off to go to the bank, this might be because they hated the old teacher I don't know. But they put a stop to that, and after a period of 6 months the school decided they liked me.

So now I had some perks, pretty much all over summer and winter off accept for 2 and 1 week camps, extra classes, and from what I can gather I am 3rd in command at the English department.

When I renewed I got a special bonus (I didn't ask question) and even after this I applied for a University job and got it and was given a letter of release, but it fell through at the last minute. So technically I had resigned, I thought I had burned my bridges and when I asked if I could stay it took a week for them to answer.... this is because they are trying to find cash to get me another pay rise..... or hike me up the pay scale.

Bottom line with EPIK, if your school like you they can make your life very easy.
