My brother is in for the week. He was using my computer while I was gone and decided to check-out the forum. Obviously, the site has that annoyingly unnecessary "you can only do one search in....come back later and try" function, but he was shocked to find how many postings/pages some of the Dave's users have written. He is a numbers guy, so it was fun for him (ho hum). He did have a very entertaining reaction to some of the posters with 60....70...80!!!!! PAGES of posts. His quote, "It looks like some of these folks are spending WAY too much time giving advice and posting opinions and are in desperate need of another hobby...or a woman/man!" I think that this forum provides a great deal of information and entertainment, but it might be fun to see who might be spending a little bit too much time on it. How about we see who the posting leaders in the clubhouse are? Sorry, no trophy, but it might be fun!

Sure. Welcome to the times. Real friends, places, social activities in general have become distorted.

Whoops...I mean,

...ttompatz, for example, does a service to a great deal of people around here and without his posts, this place diminishes. There are many here who are all across the civil to exceedingly helpful manner spectrum. Then here are those of us who sometimes raise a bit of stink. Goodness knows, that's a turkey shoot around here.

Yes, so many posts, so many motivations, rationales and reasons. Then think that that moniker is a sock of another banned pseudonym, that of another and another; turtles all the way down.

Sad maybe. Inspiring, certainly.

Forums are intended to be social spaces. Why wouldn't a person want to be involved and post frequently? :/

I only have 78 pages of posts. I'll probably hit 80 by the time I leave in 2 months, but not much more.

There's a poster named VanIslander who has had 634 pages of posts!!! (9500 posts).

I, in contrast, have only 76 pages and 1137 posts.

I'm a member of another forum where I have 10,595 posts. I have no shame, I still get out plenty.

275 pages, 4100+ posts. And I had effectively stopped posting for quite a while. At eight years in, that's like 1.5 posts a day. Garbage! I used to be prolific back in 2005-2006!
