First, about the AC. Took the ute out yesterday and ran the AC. While it did work, the fan didn't pump out enough proper cold air for me to be satisfied with the A/C in hot temperatures. So, officially, I'll say that the A/C doesn't work well enough. I usually am happy with the 4 windows open anyway - but that's just me. Note the reduced starting price reflecting this development.

And, a proper fuel gauge assessment. I took it yesterday from Nonsan, to Wuibong-san (north of Jeonju), then to Maisan Provincial Park (near Jinan), then to Imsil, then through the 95km country/mountain road that is Jeonbuk regional #49/55 all the way to Naejansan National Park. Following that, took more country roads to the fortress at Gochang. Then went near to the coast at Hachang-eup, got all turned around in Jeonju on the way home and was going in cricles, finally arriving back to Nonsan. This was as part of a full Jeollabuk-do road trip. The total distance was 326km. I used 3/4 a tank of fuel.

(35L x 0.75 = 26.25L) 326km/26.25L = 12.42 km/L

This included highway mileage, limited 4x4 action, city driving, rural roads and up and down several mountains.

The ute acquitted itself very well, especially the transmission which gave me absolutely no problems going up and down the mountains, even after several hours of driving. Engine stayed cool as well.

I should also note some other things it comes with. Naturally, it comes with a spare and jack. In addition, jumper cables, tire repair kit, air pump and misc. cleaning supplies. I also keep a full 3L bottle of oil in the back in case of emergencies, which hasnt been opened. It strangely enough came with a 1/2 set of golf clubs, including a Big Bertha driver. The clubs and bag are included as well.

A/C fully operational. Saw a mechanic today. A minor electrical problem was fixed. No change in asking price.

I should also note, an adapter comes with the CD player rendering it PMP player ready.

Asking price reduced again. Was in Gangwon-do (Gangneung) this past weekend and almost sold it to a guy on the street (literally) except it was Sunday, and I couldn't wait until Tuesday afternoon when he wanted to buy it (he was busy Monday and I needed to go back to Nonsan for Monday night).

Seriously good deal. Ready to release for sure next Monday.

Needs to be gone at latest by 2 Friday's from now.

Make a deal. This is a good one.

You shouldn't.

Most of the world uses the metric system

Sounds like a good vehicle. If the timing belt has been changed in the last 60K I would consider. Nice car.

I get a little sensitive when people forget that there are Americans in the world. 12.42 km/L means nothing to an American.

However, if you simply go to google and type in "12.45 kpl in mpg" it will tell you that the correct mileage is 29.28 mpg.

This makes more sense to any American.

Thanks for letting me nitpick. I hope somebody buys your car soon! Wink

And what is stopping an "American" doing what you did and go to Google themselves?

Hate folk like you who constantly think the world revolves around the US of A.

To the OP, good deal and I hope you manage to sell it to a good home. If I hadn't just plumped for another scooter I would have bitten your hand off for this Sad

As a citizen of the USA, I find your statement silly, bordering on ridiculous. Laughing

1) Half the English teachers in Korea are Americans. Doesn't it make sense to advertise your fuel economy in terms that HALF of your potential buyers will understand?

2) How many car TV commercials have you seen in the States where they told you the fuel economy in KPL?

3) Maybe you're the one that's silly.

this. Razz

To set the record straight.

I posted the fuel consumption in km/l for two reasons.

1: The majority of countries on earth use this standard.

2: For those of us living in Korea, it is helpful to know the km/l rate. Why? Many of us are buying used cars a bunch of years old, made for this country. A great deal of them have that yellow sticker somewhere that says how good the km/l rate is (on a scale of one to five). That said, the Retona doesn't, so I had to calculate the rate myself.

It never occurred to me to post in the United States format. I'm Canadian. I have lived in Korea, Japan, Canada and Australia. All use km/l. It never occured to me to put it into any other format.

Sorry to our American chingus here in Korea. I guess it takes some adjustment to being outside the states. I have a mate who has a hard time figuring out how cold or warm it is outside. Probably the world should run one system and be done with it.

I'm doing the op a favor. More than half of the potential buyers are American (this is a fact). Few Americans are familiar with the metric system. By advertising the fuel economy in both systems, the op is playing to a wider audience.

The world may not revolve around the US but the fact is that the US doesn't use the metric system. This is a FACT. Whether or not individuals choose to recognize it is their decision.

I hate people who are a**holes.

It's the tone you used in your reply and subsequent retort to myself that makes most of the world get the impression that "Americans" are self obsessed, obnoxious, single minded bufoons.
