I can't belive that they drained the reservior over this!
What about all the fish and birds that crap in the water every day? |
Why are you surprised? It's the U.S. |

What does that have to do with anything? I will admit it was a rather extreme response to such a small act. I am not sure why you take every opportunity to bash the US.
I am not sure if you are trolling or are just genuinely thick... |

Anyone who has ever swam in a swimming pool has probably drank diluted urine. And it would have been much much less diluted than the urine in that reservoir. Stupid decision. Saying nothing would have been so much easier... |

I'm American, and I think we generally lead the world in ridiculous responses to minor problems. It could be that I read more US news sources than anything else though. |

Welcome to off-topic, where the subject quickly devolves into the nationalities in question.
Anyway, David Shaff should be fired. He flushed 8,000,000 gallons of water to purify it of (at most) 0.0625 gallons of urine. |

Hit the nail on the head.
It's mainly because we lead the world in ridiculous lawsuits which means that we have ridiculous responses to everything.
Some stuff that a man much smarter than me has listed (Adam Carolla):
1) Our collective response to these supposed "peanut allergies"
2) PSAs for s* that doesn't matter like elder abuse and turbulence on airplanes.
3) Can't even drink a beer from a glass anymore at a ball game.
This list could go on forever. |

Stop reading Adam Corolla bro, you going to start citing him for every argument now? I used to be a sex talk host. I'm the smartest dude ever.

Ah well. Last night I was listening to NPR. Back in the 60's North Carolina would sterlize poor women that had too many kids and were on public assistance (WELFARE). Now they're paying reparations for that. Like we have extra money to throw around to everyone that was wronged half a century ago. If they want to drain the freakin' pond, who am I to say anything. Let them spend themselves to death. Life is too damn short to worry about it.
Time to relax and enjoy what little time I have left. |
