My GF is currently on a D4-4 visa. It's a student visa for language education, and some of you may be aware of it. She is currently a bit poorly and has left it to the last minute to extend her visa. The deadline is today. My question is, if she is too sick to go to immigration, can I go in her place and do I need identification/ID of my own to do it? If not, would it be possible to call the immigration office and allow a 'extension' or something until Monday?

Any advice appreciated.

Extensions can be done by agent but unless you are directly tied to her (husband, sponsor, etc) they are frowned upon.

You need all her documentation (including passport and ARC) and YOUR passport/ARC along with a letter of authorization.

At this point in time it would be better, unless she is actually on her death bed or confined to hospital, to get herself in to deal with it.

She does NOT want to be in an overstay position or she will face fines and other potential consequences for the violation of immigration laws.
