As you know, Korean volleyball rules are different, at least when it's played at school. My question is this and it's a little complicated.

Ok, the ball is on the other side of the net, and one your opponents sets the ball to his teammate. Are you allowed to jump up, and reach across the net and interfere with the spike/hit the ball before it comes over to your side. Is it ok if you don't come in contact with the net?

I hope I painted a clear enough picture. Thanks for any help.

Just like using your foot to kick the ball, it's legal but use two hands like a block.

I do it all the time. *Flexes*

Anyway, I gave up on volleyball with my school. Too many men and they don't let foreigners play during special events and tournaments. I just sit at my space and lesson plan or play Rummikub online.

Haha. Who knows, mate.

Recently at my school they've started calling 'foul' for crossing the net, either over or under. Said it's 'interference'.

Seems randomly enforced, though.

Honestly, I just do whatever and if someone says 'no go', then that's fine and it doesn't really matter to me. Vball here just seems so friggin' weird and random I can't get worked up about what is legal and what isn't.

During school tournament play here in Ulsan net touch and net over are strictly enforced. Kicking the ball with your foot is okay as well. There's also "net play" which is when the ball hits the net on your side and you can try to recover from the error with one or two hits.

In our tournament you couldn't go over the net until after the opponents 2nd hit.
