Expect a bumpy ride. The paperwork process is often hairy, full of questions, uncertainies delays, rushes.

Just stick with it. Sooner or later you'll be having the financially rewarding overseas teaching adventure of your life!

I should also mention that EV currently has around 45 teachers in the One Week Program and is easily covering all of its classes right now. They are not super desperate to get new bodies in here, and they're not going to panic just because a new hire is taking longer than expected to finish their paperwork. I arrived more than two weeks later than the start date stated in my contract. I hear of new hires being delayed all the time. I've never heard of an offer being rescinded over it, which makes sense, because it would take longer to start from scratch with a new hire than it would to just wait out someone who's in the middle of the process and is just facing some delays. So yeah, it's just a fact of life here.

Sell my truck. Maybe have someone use it while you're gone
-Make a 600-mile road-trip to DC for an apostille of my CBC (given the short notice, mailing it will take too long). You can get it online. apostille.us or just search
-See an old friend hundreds of miles south of me.
-Figure out what personal items I want to take and how I'm going to get them there. Take a laptop, condoms, Sudafed, 6 university transcripts
-Buy a new computer (the one I'm on is a POS). A laptop is a must
-Navigate the Korean E2 visa process (I live in Atlanta, and I heard it's much easier elsewhere).
-...more that I can't think of right now.

What is the job situation where you are at? Is this a last resort? For many it is. No offense.
