Hello my esl friendz!
Okay, this is a hypothetical question.I have not yet applied to either GEPIK or EPIK.
But I am thinking about applying to GEPIK now.It is SUCH A LATE STAGE now that I am afraid they wont even give me an interview when I submit my application form.
So what if you hand in your application once, nothing comes of it,not even an interview,so you decide to apply again for the next term.
NOW WHAT I WANT TO KNOW PLEASE IS THIS-WILL MY NAME BE KEPT ON RECORD OR IN A SPECIAL FILE so that when my Korean friends at GEPIK see my application again they will be ABLE TO MATCH THE 2 APPLICATIONS TOGETHER.
Then they might say 'Mmmm she applied before-didn't get through.Let's throw this in the garbage.' (although it could have just been the case that I didn't do the interview and they may not even have looked at my application because it was at such a late stage when I handed the last one in!!!!!!
Or maybe it's just when you do the interview that they put your name on record??Whats the case here??I have emailed some recruitment companies on this and am awaiting answers.
So,I mean there could be so many scenarios-it is so hard to know.
Does anyone have any info on what they do in this case.I think it would be really valuable to know this and to get an insight into how this Nationality works!
Any info is appreciated,
Thanks,
Natasha |

My understanding is that no record is kept. I may stand corrected but its what I thought I heard once.
One of the questions is 'have you applied to GEPIK/EPIK before' so lie and risk being rejected again but they wouldn't know if what I understand to be true is.
If you filled out a late application, its just tossed. If you did not meet a requirement like gpa or no schools wanted you for whatever reason. You can apply the next term to see if a school in need wants you. However, an issue like gpa, criminal background check failed, non accredited degree which is permanent doesn't matter as you will never be accepted. |

No, it's public school recruiter time for you. Also use a recruiter that doesn't recruit for EPIK or GEPIK. Don't get recruited into a Hogwan, too risky. Why frustrate yourself further by wasting your time with EPIK or GEPIK again? Forget about them and use recruiters that assign directly to public schools. |

This is normal for everything in Korea. |

True. That's why we have to submit the same things over and over again. |
