SAP is off of Line 2 and 7 from the Konguk University station. Leave the station via Exit 5. Youll then go right. Youll see a Cafe Bene and a wedding hall. Keep walking until you get to the traffic light. There will be an LG store on that corner. Go right. Youll walk a bit and on the right youll see a KB Bank. The SAP gym is located in the basement of the KB Bank building. The sign says norebang, but in Korean.

I've never heard of powerlifting here but there is an active Olympic weightlifting scene with clubs in many cities.

Here is the website for the national club where you can find links to city clubs. It's all in Korean and it's a Daum cafe so you might need a login to view it.

You posted bodybuilding sites not power lifting. These are two different things.

Whoops wrong thread then, I had a few open at the time...

Bummed SAP is so far away. I wish there were some close options in Bundang. I'm tempted to buy an apartment up there and commute to work.

Checked out SAP and it was amazing.

We have a group of maybe 5 guys and a Kakao room where we constantly talk about programming/ergogenics/studies/etc. powerlifting related.

We are doing friendly unsanctioned meets every 2 months. Message me or shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] the next "meet" will be at the beginning of January. Anyone is welcome. There are no fees except to enter whatever gym we choose, weight class doesn't matter. Compete versus yourself and track progress every 2 months. Either SAP or the Olympic weightlifting facilities in Jamsil.

I spoke with a member of the Korean IPF and there are no squat/deadlift tournaments in Korea. They only have bench contests and these are usually tagged along to the larger bodybuilding contests.

My last gym had a nice squat rack for dead squats military press.

Hey man, I'm in Bundang but we have a group of 8 right now all over Seoul. Meets are held at SAP near Konkuk Univ. and Olympic sports stadium in Jamsil. Both have bumper plates. Send me an email if you want to join. Few of our lifters do Olympic lifts as well.
