Because bumping three different threads is obnoxious, i've put them all into 1 thread.
For more details (and a much larger description) please check out the original threads:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=195260 (quiver killer)
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=206309 (sierrascope)
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=206327 (airobic)
Pic of all three: http://i55.tinypic.com/24azj2o.jpg
Quiver killer is red one. Bataleon is google eyed one nearest to cam, and scope is the one between them. The one at the far end is the charlie slasher, but its not for sale.
****************************
Selling 3 snowboards. (no bindings, just the boards).
I live in Jeollanamdo.
I CANNOT SEND PM's, so please, if you want to chat about these boards, leave your email addy.
They are:
Capita Quiver Killer (2010) 157.
Capita Sierrascope (2010) 156 (Indoor FK).
Bataleon Airobic (2010) 155
Individual board info:
***********************************************************************************
Quiver Killer:
Condition: Almost perfect condition. A few base scratches, but all very light. No dings.
Rider size: 155-190lbs (size 8-11.5 boots).
Style: All mountain Freestyle.
FLEX = 7 (stiff but very poppy).
CAMBER
Directional shape
DEEP Radial sidecut
Softer tip/Stiffer tail
Setback
Twin shape
Board likes: Pipe, big hits, squirly terrain, slackcountry. Has INCREDIBLE EDGE HOLD AND POP. Great for intermediates-advanced riders.
Board hates: jibbing and cruising. This isnt a butter board.
Summary: Big hitting park stick. This board is for someone who wants big air and big pipe. 2x transworld goodwood winner for the pipe, it pretty much tells you what its going to do. Its going to pop and its going to hold an edge in any crappy conditions. This board is solid, stable and is definitely your go-to tear it up deck when you need something with a bit of liveliness and bite to it. Maybe its a bit too much for beginners and people wanting something a bit more playful, but for aggressive chargers, its pretty much the deck theyre after. You will trust this board in all conditions, and that means its going to open up the terrain for you.
Price: 310,000won OVNO shipped. (260,000pick up).
***********************************************************************************
Capita Sierrascope:
Board Condition: dinged at the tip, heavy chipping in in topsheet (a problem with all the sierra topsheets im afraid). The base has a fair few decent scratches. No gouging, but definitely a couple of deep lines scar the base.
Rider weight: 150-180lbs
Park weight: 160-200+lbs (the heavier you are the more it butters, but the less stability you have on the rest of the mountain. If you want to use it as just a jib/park board it doesnt really matter how heavy you are so long as you understand youre sacrificing pop and stability for pressability).
Rider Style: Cruising and All resort freestyle with slight park emphasis.
Boot size: 8-11.5US
FLEX = 4.5-5 (medium soft)
REVERSE camber
Base: Sintered
Shape: True Twin
Board likes: Butters, cruising the resort, powder, most groomers. Excels as a cruising/aggressive park board. Great for beginners, but especially good for intermediates.
Board Hates: Chop. It also hates ice, though not so much as chop.
Board Summary: Super friendly, super forgiving and super fun. This board is your go to for those hangover days when you just want to hit a few laps of the park or just cruise with your mates. Its your jack of all trades board with a bit more of an emphasis on boxes and small park hits. This is the board you pull out when you want to ride that wall, or bounce around on those bobbles, or just butter the flats. The board turns the resort into a gigantic park feature. Its really fun but maybe its a bit too squirly for a serious hard charger. They'd want to be on the quiver killer instead.
Price: 260,000(OVNO) shipped (250,000 local pick up)
***************************************************************************************
Bataleon Airobic.
Board Condition: Light Scuffing on base as well as a patch of discoloration from riding crappy snow. No gouging. Edges are also in perfect condition. Some small topsheet chips, but all very small.
Rider size: 140-190lbs (again, same rules apply as the scope - if its your park ride you can go higher weight, though id not recommend it on this deck so much because two of its big draws are its stability all over the mountain (for what is a jib board), and its pop.
Boot size: 7.5-11US.
Rider style: Jib/park.
FLEX=3 (soft - but actually *feels* stiffer than the scope - camber versus flat kick for you - flex is weird like that :p).
Base - extruded
CAMBER (TBT - it means raised edges at the contacts but still a camber board).
shape - true-twin
Board Likes: Jibs (rails in particular), medium hits, cruising the resort, beginners. It would suit all riders since at heart it is a technical park deck. But of all the boards, this is easily the best one for beginners.
Board Hates: Aside deep powder, nothing really. The board is surprisingly stable for a jib board. It sold me 100% on how good TBT is. If theres one criticism i have of it, its that its not a bataleon Riot.
Board Summary: Its bataleons softest board, but nevertheless has many tricks up its sleeve. Its not just awesome on park features, but taking it out on the rest of the mountain revealed some amazing surprises: this board can RIP. Weird eh? Its packed with pop, its super stable on almost all terrain (i had it all over niseko), and will pretty much hit up whatever you like. Saying that though, it will nose dive in pow so if youre after a pow board go with the scope. And although its fun, its still not as fun as the scope for sheer "how the hell did i get away with that?" type buttering. It holds a better edge than it, and has a stack more pop though, but i think the scope has a bit more versatility outside the green runs and the park.
For a beginner, this board is definitely the top choice since its camber and will teach you about your edges much more effectively than the scope. Basically this board does WAY more than it has any right to do for being as soft as it is. Its also got a really solid platform for rails (med-wide base and lifted edges), so its great for a technical rider that knows what they want.
Price: 300,000(OVNO) Shipped (250,000 pickup).

Confirmed! i Leave korea on August 15th forever.
if you want these (though theres been not much interest since i first put them up so i dont really anticipate much), then you probably should get on them soon. come the 15th theyll be getting the boat with me to fukuoka and then kuronekko'd to my new digs Basically if they dont sell, im still keeping them because ive already resigned myself to having the whole shipping the buggers, thing And theyre still sick boards, so its not like ill be disappointed. Ill just be miserable on the 15th and 16th while im lugging them to my new place via the wonders/misery of public transport
Ill give it a few more bumps naturally before then. |

ck10n3, hey dude. Sorry, cant send PMs. Board wont allow me.
In answer to your question, nope. The board is perfect size. At 68 kilos its a bit big though if you want it as a pure jib board. For an all round ride though, its perfect size |

oh, and someone else wants the bataleon as well, they havent made a firm offer, so its still first real offer gets it. I told him to contact you and you could both work it out between you on what boards you want. The bataleon and the scope fill a similar spot for me.
Hes lighter than you by about 5kilos though. So naturally consider that in the advice.
Heres what i wrote to him:

Heres the case for the scope though if you're still interested:
1. Reverse camber boards have stability issues. Sizing UP a reverse camber board means a longer EFFECTIVE edge (the edge thats in contact with the snow when you are riding a carve). This means more stability. A 4cm longer effective edge really is the difference betyween a stable board and a board that washes out from under you.
2. It is still pressy as hell. When i first bought it i was 175lbs. I was doing foot presses easy. When i got on it again at the end of this season (after leaving it behind for my trip to japan), i was 160lbs and could throw it about EVEN EASIER (thats pretty much down to technique).
This board is still soft in the tip and tail and thus built to be a slightly more aggressive park ride.
3. What you lose (swing weight and the ability to throw it around, and a bit of softness), you gain in a) float and b) stability.
4. This moves the board from a medium-soft park rig into thats good for cruising the mountain, into an all park, all mountain do it all board.
So if you want to progress all over the mountain and start getting a taste of everything, then this board would be pretty much awesome for you. If you want to just slide some boxes and maybe hit some rails, yeah... you probably need something shorter It will do all that and it will do it awesome, (i aint kidding), but if its your focus, then youre going to enjoy it more on a shorter deck.
The case for the bataleon:
1. The bataleon is camber. This means rock solid stability everywhere.
2. Its also genuinely softer than the scope. It is bataleons softest board.
3. The design of TBT means raised edges at key points which is crucial for rails (you wont get caught on nicks).
4. It is poppy as hell, and as a 155 it will feel SUPER poppy for you.
5. Again, like the scope, youre making a trade off in sizing up. You gain extra stability and float and bit of a stiffer feel so as a soft board it will feel a LOT more versatile and you can take it outside the park for sure. But you will lose its noodly feel (when you press it, it really will bend on you so you wont lose too much), but it may feel a little on the big side for you.
Unlike the scope, sizing up camber isnt really something i'd recommend unless you really want to ride powder. Im not sure if the trade off is quite as rational as it would be on the scope, so i am reluctant to say that the bataleon is a better idea for you. There are genuine and sound reasons why youd size up a reverse camber board, but the only reason youd size up the bataleon is if you a) wanted to make it a bit more versatile for the whole resort instead of just the park, and b) if you wanted float. But float on a jib board is hardly a big priority in truth.
I hope that helps.
My advice is this:
If you want to start park, but also want to do everything else on the mountain, the scope is actually a really good choice. Its going to feel much more stable than it might if you got a 152. This means you get to open up the mountain a bit more and hit some lines you might not have been comfortable riding on your current board (reverse camber boards are after all EXTREMELY forgiving).
If you plan on hitting japanese powder any time soon then its a FANTASTIC choice (since reverse camber has awesome float, whilst a slightly sized up reverse camber is going to feel like powder board when youre swimming in pow). You also get a sintered base on it which is frankly fast as hell.
If youre already happy with your no name deck for hitting up the rest of the mountain and really want a board solely for jibs then you need to be looking for a smaller board.
Anyway, heres the guide i wrote at sierrasnowboards (now trusnow).
Check out the page on sizing and flex (they kinda go together) to understand what im saying and hopefully youll realize im not pulling this all out of my ass, but i actually wish i was riding a 160 scope because sizing UP that board really would bring out what it wants to do (which is to tear the whole damn mountain up). Spenser (the guy i named 'the spenser principle' after) is actually 150lbs too and rode a 158 indoor as his go-to all mountain shredder
http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=40125
a 156 scope for a 150lb dude is going to be a fun, forgiving, playful, but most importantly, versatile and stable ride. Its really going to be an all resort do it all board (using the exact terms i gave in the guide).
You can hit the park, just as you can hit pow and have a great time on either, but where it will shine is in opening up the whole mountain and making it a massive park feature |

bump plus PRICE INCREASE.
Price increase is for delivery. I have only around 10 days left in korea, im already set on taking them to japan, and dont really have the time nor the inclination to come to seoul and spend 80k hand delivering them. Pick up price is the same though. So if you want them, and are willing to come to me then you still score the deal. |

Sale pending on both Bataleon and Quiver Killer.
Only accepting enquiries on the sierrascope. Since i will be coming to seoul after all to deliver these (assuming the sale is finalized), this means delivery goes back to a much more reasonable price on the sierrascope.
Ill put it back to 260,000 for it delivered. Still 250,000 on pick up.
ON CONDITION OF OTHER SALES. (otherwise its back to 300,000 total for board+delivery)
I'm leaving after this weekend. So this will really be the last chance to grab this deck. |
