you do not have a Bachelors Degree?

What I do have are these...
*Gyopo (with fluency in both languages)
*20 years old...(problem?)
*A TESOL certificate
*A record stating I attended Kindergarten through High School in the U.S.
*High School grades(if required?)
*About to attend Korean University

*Am a Korean citizen

Would the recruiters even look at the email?

Could I possibly land a job with many benefits taken out such as no housing, no medical, etc... since i dont have a bachelors?

Does anyone have any experience with no bachelors degree but still find work?

As far as I know, a tertiary degree is a prerequisite, no exceptions.

You're a Korean citizen? But that means you can't be a Gyopo, and vice versa. Also if you're a male, good chance you'll get manhandled at airport immigration and get shuttled off for military service.

As far as I know, that's for a teaching visa. Schools can hire anyone they like.

Actually, a degree is a MOE requirement for any teaching job other than kindy.

My last hagwon had a Korean teacher there (he was a Korean citizen) but he had done his military service.

...how are you a Korean citizen and a gyopo?

if he's a gyopo, he doesn't need a E2 visa. it's only with a E2 that a degree is required. Seems to me it's really up to the school as to whether they want a university graduate or not. I'd imagine some would insist on such, but your fluent bilingualism would be a very strong card in your deck.

In fact, if I were you, I may look outside of education. Many Korean companies would surely be interested in you.

the only thing you need to be aware of is that if you come here, at some point in time you will be required to serve in the Korean military.

Without a degree you cannot legally work as a foreign teacher, maybe even as a Korean teacher, not sure about that.

However, there are schools which do hire people even if they don't have a degree.

Either way, what have you got to loose?
About the army training thing, you really might want to look into that, last thing you want to do is arrive expecting to teach but get sent for army training due to legal obligations. Shocked

Goodluck man
