What type of person employs somebody for seven years without reason? You were obviously doing something right.
As for a parental reccommendation: Acquiring one could show the employer that you really want the job and it could also let them know how respected you are by a parent of a student. Why not? |

Congratulations on winning the adulation and respect of your parents......
now..... GET IT DOWN ON PAPER.
I appreciate that you are loved and respected, and I understand that the parents may well support you in your current situation. Two things need to be kept in mind.
a.) Parents and teachers are notoriously fickle and their adulation can turn on a dime. Get a rough draft of a LOR and have the parents consider signing it en masse, or as individuals with editing.
b.) Adulation carries only so far in the application process. In my own case I have ten years of superior ratings by my college students. The common response when I bring these to bear in a process is a hearty "thats very impressive" before moving on to something else. FWIW.

"FWIW" = "For What(ever) It's Worth"
BTW: Here in the States there is a common wisdom in the professional world that one begins organizing for the NEXT employment the day they start a job. I don't mean this literally, but the spirit is that one is always looking ahead. In the case of your current employer you have mentioned that the school is not doing well. Certainly, you don't want to wait until you are standing on the sidewalk before you start organizing your recommendations, right?

Koreans generally don't do paper recommendations. Phone calls are the norm. |

Seriously Bruce, I can sense you mean well. I can.
However, you are not and have never been in Korea. Therefore the advice you so strongly give is misinformed at best. Arrogant and annoying at worst.
Not trying to get on your back. Just a friendly note to say that it can be seen as condescending around these parts.
