Dave - isn't it about time we had the latest message appearing at the opening page. i.e. last first seen.

It's boring wading through years of out dated information.

The first ten or so topics on the message board that have been around since like 2004. They are called stickies because they stay where they are and do not get bumped off the front page.

Ummwhat do you mean? The threads are in reverse chronological order. So the most recent are on the first page and work back from there. Not sure what youre wading through.

I think the original poster is referring to actual posts in a thread. For example, you are reading this post because you scrolled down. They are suggesting it go to the top.

The problem here is that you can't follow a conversation in order. It's not like Twitter where you only need to see the latest tweets.

Silly me - I've only just found the option to change the order of the posts at the bottom of the message.

I wish I'd found that years ago! or is it new?

It doesn't seem to be permanent. I selected "All Posts" but when I go back to the list of threads and then return here, it reverts back to chronological order.

I think it's funny that they put this at the bottom of the thread and not at the top Confused You have to scroll just to change it if you do want it the other way. Might as well leave it the way it is and then be able to see the the posts in some logical progression.

If these were news alerts, then I would want the new "feeds" (as they call them) to go up to the top, and this would be RSS not forum posts.

I see. And yeah, I agree with you (koreatimes). Its usually hard to have a frame of reference for the newest post without reading the first post, unless the thread title really says it all.

For threads like New E-2 Guidelines (74 pages, and started in 2004, I think), obviously go straight to the most recent pages.

But most threads arent like that one, so I dont see any reason to change anything.
