I have worked at two universities and at both the divided my pay up in similar ways. If you get say 2 million, one the pay slip it actually says about 1.2 million and a few bonuses are added on to make it 2m. I was told it was because you are not taxed for bonuses, or if you are, the tax is less. Is it the same for you at your university? And at a Hagwon? And is it cheating?
Take a look at your payslip. |

| My pay slip says 2.0 minus the tax and my pension. If I look at the deposits done through the bank, then, yeah, it is always done by two different accounts. I not sure why they do this, but I am sure you are right about paying hide seek with the tax man, (the school that is, not me). |

| you get a pay slip??? I asked my boss for one to verify my salary with the student loan folks back home and he gave me a blank look like I had asked where monkeys go skydiving in Korea...4 days later, still bewildered, he had me make up a fake one on my laptop, and he affixed the school seal to it. |
