Does anyone have suggestions for simple games/songs kindie kids love?
I just started teaching at my Hagwon and I've never taught children before--especially such young children. I'm trying to get into their psyche and understand what sorts of things they like. Beyond being obsessed with Kung Fu Panda, hangman, and the tickle monster (me) I don't really know.
Your help is appreciated! |

Charades, Pictionary and Hot Seat are all big favorites in my kindergarten classes. |

If you have access to a computer with Internet, head to youtube and look up 'The Elephant Song'. It's the cutest thing in the world.
If all you have is a CD player, which I'm sure you do, torrent some kids music, and burn a CD. Just make sure to replay it for them a few times so that they can get used to the words. Songs with actions, like 'Wheels on the Bus', 'The Itsy Bitsy Spider', and 'Twinkle Twinkle' are good. You can also make up actions for songs as well, even just bending your knees to the rhythm of the music is good. It will keep them entertained more then just sitting there singing.
As for games, if you have the space, you can try Duck Duck Goose. I use this with my 7 year olds, because they are a tad bit more responsible, and understand the concept. Plus, they don't hit each other on the head as hard. You can substitute other animals for Duck and Goose, like Cat and Dog, or practice opposites like Hot and Cold or even colours like Red and Blue. |

These were created (for the most part) by a teacher now of Korean folklore.... http://bit.ly/qAPCrM
I have a great nursery rhyme ppt with audio somewhere in the resources. That's really handy. Print off the slides for song sheets.

Devon at supersimplesongs on youtube is also highly recommended for kids stuff. This link shows him off and some stuff I collected. http://bit.ly/njJ4YQ |
