Hi,

The setup includes a flat (XPersee) monitor, 2 desktop speakers and 1 sub (with variable volume adjuster), a Pleomax Webcam, all plugs and cords, and the like, and a nice stack of CD's to burn to.

The pc specs are:

NVIDEA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.40 GHZ
1.00 GB RAM
Loaded Microsoft XP (English)
Rewritable CD Drive.
It has a 39 gig and a 35 gig hard drives (C and D)
Also has S-video cable out. You can also have the approx 15 to 20 foot cable as well.

Only special thing to note is that one fan should be replaced as it made a noise, so it's been disconnected

Price: 225,000 won

Henri^^

I'm sensing a lack of activity in this sale. Wink

Can someone please tell me if I'm asking to much and, if so, whats a fair sale price?

It would be most appreciated!

Henri^^
ps. I did ask one person who seemed to know about pc's and they said I should be able to fairly ask for 300... Question

Your computer is a Pentium 4, it's quite old. I think most people don't really want something this old. I think 50-75k would be reasonable. for the computer. The monitor might be of value, but you haven't provided any details on the monitor. Like size mainly.

Anyways good luck.

glad you asked.

The on-board video of most modern computers is superior to your graphics card in that computer. it is also single core with only 1gb of ram, therefore you are basically limited to windows xp to make it usable, though technically you could put windows 7 on it.

the windows xp on there isn't worth much even if it is legit.

Let me price the parts out for you.
Your motherboard and CPU together would net you 40,000 IF you're lucky. i can back up my statement, but just trust me.

your graphics card is worth around 10,000

you don't have 2 hard drives in there. you have a single 80gb drive split into 2 partitions. an 80gb drive typically ends up being 74gb formatted. 35+39 = 74. 10,000 for that drive

cd-burners go for around 5,000 from a used parts place. even a brand new dvd burner would go for around 17,000.

1gb of ram is around 15,000 depending on how many sticks it is.

the power supply would be worn due to age and may be low quality. we don't know what kind of PSU it is. and the case... well new cases are as cheap as 12,000 won.

40 for the cpu/mobo
10 for the gpu
10 for the hard drive
15 for ram
5 for the cd rom
and 25 for the case and power (a new case and power would cost the same so i'm being generous)
that's 105,000 won for the machine, as a whole machine it should cost less than the individual parts since its like a package deal.

i can seriously back my numbers up if you want, but please just take my word for it.

you didn't include the size of the monitor. you can get a 22" LCD for 80,000 won. the value of the speakers and webcam is trivial. lets value them at 5,000 for the speakers and 10,000 for the webcam.

105+95= 200. that's being generous by the way, and it also assumes you are offering a 22" LCD, a new case and a new power supply, which i doubt you are.

i'd seriously price that machine at 75,000 total + another 50,000 for the monitor if its 19" or smaller if you are looking for a quick sale.

Hi gsesl and JonBowman,

I really appreciate the advice from both.

I'm on the fence about selling and re-buying or just throwing it in a box and sending it to my family in Canada to use.

A bit more info is that in addition to one fan being unplugged, due to noise, I also think I unplugged the CD drive (probably when drunk)...but have no clue how to put it back. Wink

Anyways, all things considered, and with some pics attached, can you please give me a final "quick sale" opinion on what I can get that is fair to both buyer and seller (me Razz )

Henri^^
ps. The stack of cd's and "miracle clean gel" (for the monitor) is just what I would throw in, gratis, for any buyer.
