I think endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy is by far the simplest way to reduce excessive sweating.

Easy. |

I've been able to find ample essential oils here. I like to make my own colognes.
I'd rather buy Nivea at a beauty shop or just buy a crystal or regular stick from iHerb than make my own.
Not sure that aluminum gives you cancer or Alzheimer's or whatever. |

| So can someone explain to me what this Deodorant dilemma is all about? It's not the first time I've heard the recommendation of "bring lots of toiletries from the States, in particular Deodorant!" So this all leads my imagination to thinking, Do the Koreans have weird deo or simply not use any at all? lol |

Very few Koreans use deodorant. They don't seem to really need it. Their sweat doesn't seem to smell much and they're usually very diligent bathers.
You should definitely stock up on deodorants in your home country because there's only an expensive and limited selection here. |

| back in the day there was NO deodorant in Korea unless it was black market off the base. Now there is. It might not be your fave brand, but it's widely available. Body Shop. Emart. Olive Young. Lots and lots of stores carry it. |

Apocrine glands, which produce scents that we commonly refer to as
body odor, vary widely among the races. Asians have an extremely low
distribution of apocrines (Koreans are among the least odor-producing
people on Earth50% of them have no apocrine glands at all). With
regard to other races, blacks have a slightly higher distribution of
apocrine glands than whites.

It's not that Asians don't have sweat glands under their arms; the
difference is that they have markedly fewer apocrine glands than black
or white people. That doesn't mean they sweat less--eccrine glands,
the other main type of sweat gland, are a thousand times more numerous
on most bodies, and Asians have plenty of them. But apocrine glands
are the kind that make you stink.

you have absolutely no idea how well this works. it's almost witchcraft. it doesn't leave any stains on your skin or clothes, and lasts for 24 hours, easily, with just a pinch rubbed under the arm. i don't use it now, because i buy deodorant here, but i have in the past and would do it again.
i also find it mildly disturbing how often deodorant-related threads appear in this forum. do americans/canadians have a problem i'm not aware of? are you people seriously unable to find deodorant in this country?
because i know of about three places that sell all types of colognes, deodorants etc etc etc within a five minute walk of my apartment. and i'm nowhere near seoul. |
