Not trying to be sarcastic, but is there even one of those in Itaewon?

so true, but really is it possible to really have a authentic place outside of the UK? I mean it will never be 100%

but yeah, Itaewon has nothing close..

hongdae use to have their interpretation of a British pub
was called the QUEENS HEAD, might be still there..
route 66 was cool, I know not british, but was a cool bar to sit and chill and have a drink at the bar..
but the owner had to the sell cause the rents were getting crazy he said.
eventually the world will just be franchises as those are all that can afford the rents.
so for someone to open a real british pub will be taking a huge risk.
the canadian bar RMT, failed there..

I'm not 100% sure but isn't there one near the park?

Or is it Irish? I've seen something there.

i don't know exactly why RMT Hongdae failed, but i always thought it was because the place was too un-Canadian (and i'm no canuck.) RMT Twon has developed it's niche. RMT Hongdae was just black walls and black pleather stools and top 40 music, it seemed exactly like every "modern" bar, which exist in every dong in Seoul. i went once and never went back. i lived in Nowon at the time. why travel all the way to Hongdae to go to a bar that looked exactly the same as 5-6 bars in Nowon?

back on topic, i agree with OP. I'd be down for a pub, be it British, American, Irish, Aussie, Uzbeki, whatever style. when inclement weather makes the park an impossiblity (which is, i dunno, 275 nights a year), there's really nothing to do in Hongdae between dinner time and 11-ish.

if a lady went into The Spot when they aren't having a show and requested the Misfits, she'd probably make friends very fast.
