Also note the specific situation in your letter. Don't just write a generic apology for your attitude. State that you apologize for showing your irritation over being required to work on a national holiday. Makes it a little harder for him to use it against you if you "inadvertantly" note that your "bad attitude" was the result of his doing something unkosher.

good call..

there could be great depth you could go into including extra tasks you have completed without being paid extra, how you always did your best for the school, etc... the more you put in and the better you lick ass... the safer you are

everyone needs money, especially since I wont have a job when I go back to canada in june. it's only 8 more weeks of hell, I think that's worth $6000 isnt it? I stood 10 months of hell what's 2 more.

Why wouldnt you write it mr pink? Is that your real name?

Is Kristoy ur real name?

Writing it would depend on if i really needed the cash.

Also depend on how much i bitched about having to work a holiday.

Seems ur attitude sucks...now if I had that same attitude, why should I write the letter? Let them fire me...

How are you losing 6grand? 2mil severence? 2mil last months pay? U didnt work that month, so technically ya didnt lose it. Airfare?

What's the price on your self esteem and patience? You decide that, and that's your answer on if you or I would write that letter.

I would walk right into the directors office and kindly inform him that if he has a problem with my opinion that I aired, and if it is something he is considering firing me over with just a short time left in my contract, our next meeting would be together in front of the labor board. I would also inform him that I would win.

And I'd put it directly in his face -- just like that.

you're right my attitude does suck because I stopped liking it here. I dont want to be fired and lose all that money. i get paid more than 2m thanks which means severence is more than that too + airfare to eastern canada which isnt cheap at all in the peak season of june.

so......the price of my self esteem and patience is $6000

and yes that is my real name

I really think that your attuide sucks. Weren't you the one who was going to quit if you got teh day off? Yes working vacation sucks but considering that a) it's not a usual schudelued public holiday and b) you've only got a few weeks left, you just gotta suck it up. If having to work one day extra is your main problem then I think your on a sweet deal.

I know my attitude sucks, but cant seem to control it. If someone pisses me off I tell them right away without thinking. doesnt matter if it's the boss or the cat of the girl next door or whoever.

I could throw my attitude in check but there always seems to be a next time when it gets out of check again

Gang, I hate to say this but I wouldn't fall back too firmly on the labor board anymore. They were decidedly unhelpful except for providing phone numbers when I had to deal with them recently.

What was your complaint? Some things are for the labor board, others aren't.

Is it not possible for you to get a job when you go back home? You pound the pavement, you make concessions, just like everybody else.

Why don't you write a letter all sweetness and light and not at all apologizing? Use your big words and exquisite grasp of the English language and butter him up and admit to NOTHING.

So please go home and get a job. It's probably possible in April as well. In the long run you will recoup your losses and ten years from now the "$6,000" won't mean a thing to you anyway...
