|
|
hi all,
if any of the forum experts could please advise...
is is standard practice for korean hagwon teachers to get 2 weeks holidays (in addition to public holidays) in their contracts?
im going to apply for some time off and im trying to figure out how many days i have owing. my hagwon has closed the school 1 day off here and there (usally tacked onto to a public holiday to create a longer break), and has done this about 4 or 5 times this year.
im wondering if this was gratuitous or if this will be taken off my holiday time owing.
if the korean teachers dont normally get 2 weeks holiday included in their contract, then i will argue that these bonus days off should also not be taken off my 2 weeks holiday.
thanks for any answers,

| In my Hagwon those days did get deducted from my 10 day total. I got like 3 days to choose myself then the other 7 were taken when the school closed. The Korean teachers got those 7 days if they were lucky, sometimes the school made them come in to clean. |

| At my hagwon, everyone (Koreans and foreigners) gets their vacation days at the same time. The school closes completely for the last week of July and the last week of December. |
