With out a definitive cause of death it leaves open too much speculation. Her young daughter could have died from any number of causes. Casey(or someone else) could of murdered her, it might have been manslaughter, it might have been an accident, it could have been neglect, it could have been natural causes. Her erratic behaviour, or whether she was a partying '*beep*', proves none of these. The burden of evidence is on the prosecution, I would not feel comfortable sending this woman to jail when so many questions remain unanswered. You can't sentence on pure opinion, the jury needed facts. |
A person can be convicted from circumstantial evidence if there is enough. In this case there was definitely enough. She hid her daughter's body, what for? Her supposed problems didn't keep her from partying, especially with a dead daughter's body to think about while she was partying. She is a classic sociopath, in my opinion. Also circumstantial evidence was enough to convict Scott Peterson, who almost certainly is guilty also. |

Is this true? I thought the problem in this case was that, despite the overwhelming amount of circumstantial evidence, there was nothing to directly tie her to the crime. I still cannot see any other conclusion than she did it, and I am one almost always for acquittals. |

I am sure you thought that, considering what the likes of fat ass Nancy Grace and her ilk have remarked.
The jury had no choice but to acquit.
That doesn't mean they thought she was innocent.
Nor does it mean our system needs fixing. |
I don't know who Nancy Grace is. My opinions were based on the defendant's odd actions after the disappearance. |
I am not saying Anthony is innocent - just not proven guilty in a court of law.
It was not jury nullification - the jury just could not convict. |

| If Caylee's father was accused and on trial for killing Caylee he would have been found guilty in a heartbeat. |

| Life will probably catch up to this girl like it did for OJ and Van der Sloot and she'll end up in prison someday anyhow. |
